Each year Moscow Parks and Recreation hosts a Independence Day celebration at Friendship Square in downtown Moscow. The event begins at noon on July 4th with the Presentation of the Colors, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. After that, the celebration goes to the dogs as Moscow's pooches, decked out in their most patriotic red, white, and blue, strut their stuff in the annual Mutt Strut, where the best-dressed pups will win prizes!
