Donate to Food for Latah

The Latah Dems are raising funds to distribute to food banks throughout the county. Direct monetary donations are an especially effective way to assist because it enables food banks to spend on most-needed items, potentially at local stores.

Connect with Community

Connect with Community is a subcommittee of the Latah County Democrats. Our goal is to improve and build relationships throughout Latah County but more specifically with our rural communities.

Do you care about…

  • Quality education

  • Affordable, accessible healthcare

  • Protecting our public lands

  • Living wages and economic opportunity

  • Open, honest government

  • Fairness and dignity for all

Latah County Democrats believe that:

  • Our Idaho Constitution guarantees us “a general, uniform and thorough system of public, free common schools,” but when Bovill and Potlatch schools don’t have the same curriculum, resources, or programs as Boise schools, we are not getting what was promised.

  • Idaho voters overwhelmingly agree that healthcare should be both affordable and accessible to everyone regardless of income. We will fight for that, too.

  • From huckleberry picking to hunting, fishing, and hiking, our public lands provide for our lives and livelihoods. We believe in caring for our lands and way of life.

  • Our state is at an exciting turning point. We’re an agricultural and technological powerhouse—but not all of our state has shared in this growth, despite sharing the costs. It’s time to make sure that all Idahoans are fairly paid and can access economic opportunities to improve our lives.

  • Government should be open, honest, and responsive to us and our needs.

  • Every Idahoan should be treated with dignity and respect regardless of race, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, or gender proclamation. We all deserve to live our lives, work, and have the families of our choosing!
